On 6 June 2019, the Reinhard & Sonja Ernst Foundation received planning permission for the temporary construction pit system. In addition to the existing water rights permit, this marked a major milestone on the way to constructing the Reinhard Ernst Museum on schedule. Discussions on the awarding of contracts for the construction pit system can now be completed. It is assumed that the construction site can be set up in mid-August / early September and work on the underground construction can then start.
At the same time, the architects and engineering planners will work closely with the construction supervision authority. Planning permission for construction is expected to be granted during the course of the year.
